How It’s Meant to Be

Have you had your life planned out since you were little?  You would finish school, maybe go to college, get the job you’ve always wanted, meet the man of your dreams, have a few kids, buy a house with a picket fence?

We all have dreams and picture what we want our lives to look like.  That’s just the way humans are made up.

A lot of people get to a point in their lives where they realize their life doesn’t look anything like what they had in mind.  Far from it actually.

Maybe your life has gone the way you had hoped to some degree and then BAM out of nowhere tragedy, grief, and pain strike and your little world is turned upside down.

I chose the picture above because it is so true (don’t know who to attribute it to).  We worry and fret and wring our hands and doubt God because we don’t trust it’s  how it’s meant to be and that things will work out alright in the end.

We have to come to a place that we just submit it all to God.  There may be some things that you can do to remedy the problem and fix things, but there will usually be other aspects of the situation that are totally out of your control.  Please realize that when things are out of your control there is no need to blame yourself or keep struggling to fix them.  The best thing to do is pray for God to intervene in your behalf.

I personally have been in numerous situations where I didn’t know what the outcome would be.  They were extremely hard, painful situations that didn’t turn out like I wanted them to in the end and, at first, I kept asking God why, why, why?!  My pastor kept saying not to ask God why.  I didn’t understand this.  Now I understand it a little bit better, but I still don’t see anything wrong with asking God why.
We don’t understand why these things happen to us and our loved ones.  We want to blame someone.  The real truth though is that life happens.  God knows all about it and has prepared you for it all.  He knows you are strong enough to withstand it.  He also knows and understands how painful it is to you.  He doesn’t want you to be in pain, but He knows that in the end, you will have grown and become stronger and that there are just some things in this life we all have to go through as in the death of a loved one.

Be encouraged friend!

You are not alone in your grief and pain.  I am here.  God is near.  Ask Him to help you let it all go and put it all in his hands and you will find rest and peace.  Please try not to worry so much.  It will make things so much easier.  God has your back.  He’s got this!

As always, please feel free to leave a comment.  I would love to hear from you!
